Why do we use Canva?
‘Canva’ is a delicate word in the design world. A lot of graphic designers don’t use Canva and instead use professional graphic design software, but as website designers and tech/design VAs, we’re all for it!
Canva is a wonderful tool to use because you can create designs quickly and easily without needing to learn complex design software, making it accessible for small businesses who aren’t designers (and don’t want to be!).
We often use it to create graphics and templates because we want our clients to be able to use and update the designs themselves, without having to rely on a designer if it’s not within their budget, and without having to work it out alone.
And we’ll let you in on a secret… We use it for our own social media graphics too. Honestly, we’d be creating exactly the same graphic whether we used pro design software or Canva, but Canva makes it a lot quicker. Because when you already wear ALL the hats as a small business owner, finding ways to do things more efficiently is important!

If you decide to go ahead with the social media graphic templates, 50% is due as a deposit and we’ll send you a list of branding assets we need (logo, fonts, colours, etc) – then we’ll get to work!
We’ll have one round of feedback where we can make any tweaks to the templates and then the remaining 50% is due. You’ll then receive the Canva template file link so that you can copy it into your own Canva account and start using them as templates for your social media graphics.
